Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday column, with this week being a look ahead to the new season of shows. It’s my Most Anticipated Summer 2025 Anime extravaganza.

Tsuyokute New Saga: I once read the first volume of the web novel version of this series years and years ago, and it was one of my very first web novels I got into once I started really getting into them. So seeing an anime adaptation of it is pretty nostalgic for me. Whether it holds up to the test of time remains to be seen.

The Water Magician: A fairly standard Isekai/Tensei story by the looks of it. The fact that the main character focuses solely on the Water element is what drew my eye though as it’s not exactly the first choice one might think of.

Honorable Mention:

Watanare or Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai jan, Muri Muri: It’s a Yuri story, which based on the basic synopsis I read might be interesting so I’m curious if this will hold up to my scrutiny as I’m not the biggest fan of Romcoms.
