Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday with a series from the past Winter season. It’s my “Bogus Skill Fruitmaster” Episode One Impressions.

Plot: This is a pretty bog standard weak to insanely overpowered fantasy, although it doesn’t deal with the Isekai genre itself. Honestly, the basic premise is interesting though. Everybody in the series when they come of age eats a special fruit, predictably called Skill Fruits, but they can only eat one or they’ll die a horrible death through poisoning.

The main character named Light aspires to become a great adventurer and is ecstatic to receive his skill. Unfortunately, he gains the skill Fruitmaster, which seemingly only aids in cultivating fruits. As you can guess that doesn’t stay that way, and it turns out that it also allows him to never be poisoned by any fruit, which allows him to gain multiple skills.

Characters: The characters are not really anything to write home about. They aren’t annoying characters, just average.

Art: The art is okay being done by the studio Asahi Production, but it’s not close to my gold standard.

Overall: A fairly average series in my eyes, it might be fun for those who want to waste time.

For those who like: Fantasy, Action, Adventure, and Drama.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above or average characters.
