Hey all I’m back with the sequel to a book I covered fairly recently for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s Jungle King 02 by Jack Porter!
Plot: What started off as a fairly interesting survival story quickly becomes utter garbage in this second entry. Jake, our main character, grows from being an intelligent and sensible person to a raging idiot in the course of a few chapters. For example “Our base is on a volcanic island, lets not get off it as soon as possible”. or “I just got attacked by a cannibal from a tribe I live worryingly close to. Let’s go check out their camp again to study them.”
I stopped reading after that last part. To quote a character from one of my favorite authors “I ain’t grouchy, I just have a low threshold for stupidity.”
Overall: Don’t bother reading this second entry.
