This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m covering the third set of of chapters in the latest Xianxia Epic I’ve been sucked into. It’s Peerless Martial God Chapters 81-120 by Jing Wu Hen!

Plot Synopsis: Having fended off Na Lan Feng’s assassins and withstanding his darkness spirit awakening, Lin Feng finds himself enhanced with near perfect comprehension and battle awareness. Deciding to use this to his advantage he wrecks the annual meeting in Yangzhou City and promises to right the wrongs he and his father suffered at the hands of the Lin clan and the rest of the city when he returns. Upon returning to the Yun Hai sect Lin Feng decides to undergo the test for advancement and become an inner disciple. However unexpectedly many other sect leaders and famous personages decide to show up unannounced at the test.

Plot: The plot in these 40 chapters takes a quick turn from Lin Feng kicking ass to a more serious note. I won’t spoil anything, but I was honestly shocked at what happened.

Characters: Lin Feng continues to be a favorite character, with Liu Fei becoming a quick favorite of mine as well. Of the newcomers Ming Qing proves to be my personal favorite although she is a bit distant.

Overall: The arc that decides the course of the rest of the series is in the 40 chapters, if you weren’t enjoying it before you will after this set.
