Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is an excellent turn-based RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts, Tactics Ogre and others. It strives to add a few new twists to the genre without taking the game out of the realm that turn-based RPGers so love. It’s fun and challenging.
Billy’s time wasting this week is on a digital collectible card game called Tap Cats: Epic Card Battle that looks good at first.
The second official DLC for BATTLETECH, Urban Warfare brings fighting mechs into the big city, where everything is destructible and games of cat and mouse using the new ECM warfare modules can last for hours on end. It’s a brief but good addition to the core game.
This week Billy has been checking out Teamfight Tactics, it’s a new mode for League of Legends that is nothing like the normal game.
Billy is checking out SpellForce: Heroes & Magic this week and it’s a mobile game that brings the strategy of a PC series with it.
While not quite the epic turn-based strategy game we hoped it would be, Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics has some interesting points, like mixing XCom tactical gameplay with Lovecraftian Mythos. Set during World War II in the Ardennes Forest, you will be fighting Nazis and other monsters.
Heavily inspired by the classic Advance Wars game, Wargroove is a competent and exciting wargame with a brilliant single player mode and plenty of multiplayer action too. In fact, Wargroove is a lesson in how to create a game with both sound strategy and tactics.
