Paramount Pictures and leading video game publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today announced the two companies have signed a deal for NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. to co-publish and distribute the highly anticipated Star Trek video game worldwide during the first quarter of 2013 for all major home consoles and PC. As part of the TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS DELUXE line launching this fall, Hasbro will be releasing five new action figures in their Cybertronian form based on the characters in the video game. These include BLAST-OFF, VORTEX, DECEPTICON BRAWL, SWINDLE, and ONSLAUGHT characters that can combine into one fearsome Decepticon, BRUTICUS, just as they do in the game. The latest figures from NPD show that UK gamers buy more games than their US and European counterparts. The report shows that the UK rates highest for physical and digital games sales. In Germany, sales are split equally between physical and digital, while French gamers favour boxed games. When it comes to gaming devices, the UK has the highest number of console owners, while iPhones and other app devices dominate in the US.
