ImmerseCon will return to the Greater Richmond Convention Center on July 11 and 12, 2026, bringing back its mix of esports, STEM programming, tabletop activities, cosplay and interactive gaming experiences for a two-day event in downtown Richmond.
This year’s show is themed “The Year of the Champion” and will be headlined by the 2026 RVA Esports Championship, which organizers are calling the largest cross-genre esports event in Central Virginia. Competitive titles set for the weekend include Street Fighter 6, 2XKO, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Tekken 8 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The event will also feature a tabletop tournament run by the South East Tabletop Gaming Organization, a chess open from Discovery Chess Center, Beyblade competition, a cosplay showcase, robotics activities from R.A.B.I.D. Robotics and the inaugural ImmerseCon TCG Card Clash, which organizers say will include $1,000 prize pools per game for titles such as Pokémon TCG, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, Riftbound: League of Legends and Magic: The Gathering.
Beyond the tournaments, ImmerseCon is structured around four main pillars: immersive live experiences, STEM education, gaming and video games, and geek communities. According to the official event site, attendees can expect attractions such as an indie developer showcase, a free play arcade, tabletop gaming, cosplay photo shoots, VR experiences, robotics showcases, drone activities, a Gunpla build zone and more. General admission hours are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. each day, with the show closing at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
ImmerseCon is also one of the recipients of the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Marketing Leverage Program, which organizers say is helping support outreach to gaming, cosplay, tabletop and creator communities.
