Tacoma Hellblade

Talking Tacoma and Hellblade

Time to Argue the Toss about Tacoma and Hellblade…

There’s a new Argue The Toss. There’s a new Argue The Toss? No there isn’t. He’s lying. Don’t listen to him. It’s about a space station. It’s not JUST about a space station. Who drank the last of my milk? It’s about other things too. But there’s a space station in it! No there isn’t. That’s not an argument, you’re just being contrarian. No I’m not. Seriously, who drank my milk? I was saving that. There’s other things in it apart from the space station. No there aren’t. Give it a rest, Barry! There’s Norse mythology as well. I don’t know anything about Norse mythology. What’s that got to do with anything? I’m just saying, I was saving it. I wanted to have some cereal before bed and now I can’t. There’s space and Norse mythology and some magic portals as well. Ooh, I like magic portals. Wait, hold on, what do you mean, who drank it? We’ve all got the same mouth.

In a week that’s pretty heavy on disembodied voices, this week Argue The Toss discusses Fullbright’s space exploration game (no wait, not that kind of space exploration) Tacoma, and Ninja Theory’s unique Celtic/Norse psychological action-thriller (yes, really) Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Or, at least, I think they do. I may just have been hearing things.

Chella hails from the UK and joined Gameindustry.com around the year 2000. It was so many moons ago, she can't quite remember. Back then, the only women you saw in the games industry were in bikinis and vertiginous heels at trade shows - oh how times have changed, kind of. Chella started as a humble reviewer, but soon became our European Correspondent and keeps us on top of industry happenings across the Pond. She tends to like the weird Japanese games we've never heard of, so that's good for making us look all-encompassing and stuff. Chella does like games, so don't be fooled by the copious amount of columns devoted to bemoaning the lack of variety in the industry. When she's not surfing (the sea, not the internet) or camping up mountains, Chella likes a good action RPG (especially if it's sci-fi), anything with a good narrative and like we said, the weirder the better. She's also a regular in the GiN Lounge, but that's just because we like her accent.
