Video Game World Series Meeting at CES

The World Series of Video Games presented by Intel, today revealed details for next month’s World Series of Video Games All-Star Festival coinciding with the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show. The four-day festival will be held in the CES Central Plaza located at the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 8-11, 2007, and will feature extended exhibition hours, staying open until 8 p.m. each night.

The festival, which is free to attend and open to members of the public as well as CES attendees, will feature press events and WSVG exhibition matches held on two stages. Recent WSVG Finals participants and champions are being flown in for the festival. All CES attendees and members of the general public are encouraged to come enjoy free play in the gaming activity areas of Intel, Fatal1ty Brands led by Creative, Xbox, ATI and Dell. Attendees will have a chance to win sponsor giveaway items all week.

Each day, WSVG will host a special cage match where WSVG champions will play against a rival team for a WSVG All-Star Cup. Any professional gaming teams interested in scheduling a match on the stage to contend for the All-Star Cup should contact the organizers at information@gamesmedia.net. Attendees can also challenge the Frag Dolls, the dominant female gaming team, in the Rainbow 6 Las Vegas exhibition to be held in the Dell Booth throughout the convention.

Additionally, the WSVG All-Star event will host several broadcast tapings including G4, Spike, MTV, Xbox.com’s Major Nelson Podcasts and more.

WSVG presenting sponsor Intel offers a chance to compete against a Formula BMW race car driver. Pro racer, Daniel Morad will be stopping by the Intel booth on Wednesday, January 10th at 11am and 3:30pm giving visitors a chance to go head-to-head in a full size Formula One racing simulator at the Intel booth.

WSVG sponsor Xbox 360 will showcase "Halo 2" and "Dance Dance Revolution" in the Xbox Gaming Arcade and fans will have a unique chance to catch a sneak-peek of Xbox Forza Motorsport vehicles.
