Korean Companies Head to Austin Conference

The Game Initiative, a leading producer of conferences and events for professionals in the computer and video game industry, announced that the Countries of Korea and the United Kingdom will each have a major presence at this year’s Austin Game Conference (AGC) on September 9-10, 2004 in Austin, Texas. More than 10 Korean game companies will participate in a special Korean Pavilion at AGC established by iPark Silicon Valley, a Korean government subsidized agency. UK Trade and Investment representing the United Kingdom has joined as a sponsor as well. Australian companies are also exhibiting at this year’s AGC.

"The Austin Game Conference is clearly established as an important event for game developers and industry business professionals worldwide," said Christopher Sherman, Executive Director of The Game Initiative. "Our faculty of high caliber speakers and advanced conference agenda demonstrate our commitment to delivering an outstanding event that will foster real insights into the challenges facing the industry as well as opportunities for people to connect and generate growth."

Park Silicon Valley promotes Korean Digital Contents developers to US publishers is organizing the Korean Pavilion. Korea is the world’s largest market for massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs). AGC attendees and members of the media interested in discussing opportunities with these Korean companies should stop by booth 600 in the AGC Technology Pavilion.
