Eugene Kim Head Of KOG U.S. Branch

Acclaimed South Korean game developer KOG officially announced industry veteran Eugene Kim will lead their U.S. subsidiary KOG Games as its new chief executive officer. As the publisher of online action game, Elsword, KOG Games was founded as a joint venture in 2010 to bring KOG’s award-winning games to the western market under the brand Kill3rCombo. In 2012, KOG fully acquired KOG Games. Prior to his promotion to CEO, Kim served KOG Games as chief marketing officer.

As CEO, Kim brings to KOG Games 15 years of experience in the gaming industry on both the publishing and development side. Kim served as a producer and director of online game development, including the creation of Trickster Online. Kim relocated to the U.S. in late 2006 to co-found Ntreev’s North American division, where he served as chief operating officer.

"Eugene brings a tremendous amount of experience leading and running MMOs," said KOG CEO Won Lee, who will serve on the KOG Games board of directors. "Further, KOG Games is built around the KOG values of putting players first and making them have great fun playing our games. Having lived by those values throughout his career, Eugene is the perfect choice to head up KOG’s presence in the U.S."

With their first title Elsword just over two years old, KOG Games is already making plans for future growth. They are currently preparing for their next title and are seeking additional business development opportunities.
