Alawar Releases Mahjong Dragon Puzzle

Take a look around your house, and you’ll probably find the phrase "Made in China" on many things. From electronics to household goods, people around the world consume a lot of products manufactured in Asia. But one of the most popular Chinese exports of all has never been loaded onto a plane and transported overseas: Mahjong
Solitaire. Alawar Entertainment (www.alawar.com), a leading publisher of casual games for the PC, has released a new Mahjong game called Dragon Puzzle. Featuring 3D graphics, 100 original layouts and two tilesets, Dragon Puzzle is making a bid to be among the best Mahjong games available.

At the start of a game, a selection of tiles featuring traditional Mahjong artwork is arranged according to the layout the player selects. Dragon Puzzle offers five layout sizes ranging from Tiny to Huge, allowing
for quick sessions or longer, more strategic games. The player then clicks on pairs of matching tiles to remove them from the board. If there are no matching game pieces, the player can reshuffle the remaining tiles up to three times.

Dragon Puzzle includes a simplified interface that makes it possible to start a new game with a few clicks of the mouse. Special camera controls allow the player to tilt the layout, slide the viewpoint and zoom in or out using the mouse. A Hint Button makes the search for matching tiles easier.
