2K11 Baseball RV Hits The Road This Spring

2K Sports today announced a new Major League Baseball 2K11 nationwide RV tour featuring hands-on demos and fun competitions with the upcoming title from the popular baseball series, limited-edition swag, and pitching and batting cages. The cross-country tour will provide fans with a unique baseball experience with a custom-designed Major League Baseball 2K11 party on wheels that is rigged with the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft. Traveling to various Major League Baseball Spring Training hotspots, including Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, FL, and Camelback Ranch in Glendale, AZ, the tour will run through the first half of the 2011 Regular Season at such stadiums as Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA and Comerica Park in Detroit, MI. 2K Sports will slide into more than 20 cities in total, culminating in July in Phoenix, AZ, at the 2011 All-Star FanFest.

"We’re extremely proud of Major League Baseball 2K11, and we can’t wait to share it with baseball fans across the country," said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. "The tour is a perfect opportunity for fans to practice their skills for the $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge that begins on April 1."

2K Sports will begin the Spring Training trek on February 27 in Florida, taking in numerous Grapefruit League stops along with the Dick’s Sporting Goods presents ESPN The Weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando. Continuing westward to Arizona, the tour will round out the month of March by making stops throughout the Cactus League, including Tempe Diablo Stadium and Surprise Stadium.

At the conclusion of Spring Training, the tour will head north in early April for the start of the Regular Season in Southern California. Following stops in the San Francisco Bay Area, the RV will head eastward towards Citi Field in New York, with several stops along the way. From there, the tour will return to Florida with three events at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg before heading back west to wrap up at Major League Baseball’s annual All-Star FanFest in Phoenix, AZ.
