Hey all I’m back with a question for you dear readers for this week’s Video Game Tuesday. It’s all about Movie Adaptations!

Movie Adaptations?: Yeah, as I recently pointed out in my most recent Movie Monday column last week Movie Adaptations of games have historically been absolutely terrible. Super Mario Bros, the first movie adaptation, might have been a pioneer in terms of digital cinematography, but it failed utterly in the Box Office and has only recently become a “Cult Classic.”

The following Game movies were typically not that good either. However the Movie Industry has come a long way since Super Mario Bros, and I’ve heard decent things about films like Detective Pikachu, and even the Sonic movie despite the kerfuffle that first came about with it’s first iteration visuals of the titular hedgehog.

So my question is thus, can Movie Adaptations of games be good now? If so why, and if not why? Please leave your answers in the comments below!
