Hey all I’m back with another Video Game Tuesday for something that wasn’t done last year. It’s my E3 2021 Reactions!

Microsoft: Nothing really amazing stood out to me from their conference, except maybe getting to see some Halo Infinite multiplayer. But honestly their showing this year was pretty lackluster.

Ubisoft: Like with Microsoft, Ubisoft absolutely didn’t stand out at all this year at E3. A new Raving Rabbids + Mario game was interesting, but not something I was remotely interested in. Another Just Dance game being released was also just as yawn inducing.

Square Enix: Sadly most good revelations Square Enix could have had were already announced earlier, either this year or the year before. Like Final Fantasy XVI, or XIV’s latest expansion Endwalker which was admittedly one thing I was keeping an eye out for, it had already been announced a month before E3 this year. Though if you haven’t seen the Endwalker cinematic trailer yet, I do recommend it as it was excellent and everything I’d hope.  The one standout for me was was Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins which wasn’t really what I was expecting. It sounds odd, but I suppose looks cool enough. Is it apparent that I’m a Final Fantasy Fan?

Nintendo: Easily my winner of 2021, Nintendo had all the big announcements that really set my blood pumping. From Metroid Dread (the sequel to 2003’s Metroid Fusion, which was amazing), to a release window for Breath of the Wild 2 and some gameplay which looked awesome, Nintendo blew everyone else out of the park.

That’s it for this week’s Video Game Tuesday.
