Hey all, I’m back with a historical drama film from 2013 for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s Parkland.
Plot: The plot of this film revolves around the JFK assassination and the events that followed like the story of one Abraham Zapruder, a dressmaker whose 8mm film from the Dealey Plaza of the motorcade offered the best view of the event for all of the later hearings and trials, or the doctors and nurses of Parkland Hospital where President John F. Kennedy was taken after being shot.
Casting: There are plenty of big names in this very serious film, like Paul Giamatti who played Zapruder, or Billy Bob Thornton who played Secret Service Agent Forrest Sorrels. Honestly, the entire cast is amazing.
Cinematography: The film doesn’t really have many special effects as they just aren’t needed.
Music: The music is bland, but given the nature of the film that’s probably for the best.
Overall: A good film about the JFK assassination that doesn’t delve into any conspiracies.
For those who like: True stories and historical drama films.
Not for those who don’t like: Either of the above.
