Hey all, I’m back with another film from the 90’s for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s Demolition Man.

Plot: Personally, I don’t really like this movie as it’s set in a dystopian world. I know how popular this setting is, but I personally dislike it, so that kind of hindered my enjoyment of the movie. It also has lots of references to “Brave New World,” a novel I particularly dislike. However, despite all that, the movie features a really good story, just one that isn’t appealing to me personally.

Casting: Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes are our two male leads, and they do a standout job. Even if I hate the story, I can admit that both they and Sandra Bullock as the female lead did an amazing job.

Cinematography: At least the special effects are pretty decent for its time.

Music: I honestly don’t remember the music as being anything particularly special, but I’ll admit it’s been ages since I saw the film so I could be wrong.

Overall: A decent sci-fi action flick, and definitely a good one if you can stand the fact it’s in a dystopian setting.

For those who like: Sci-Fi, Action, Drama, and an Excellent Cast.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
