This week for Manga Monday I’m covering a series I was sure was axed, but it turns out I was wrong! It’s Red Blood Red Legacy by Kaishaku!

Plot Synopsis: Itsuki and Hayato, two brothers who grew up in a village nestled deep in the mountains, set out to hunt down a wolf that has been attacking the livestock of the village. Itsuki is about to go in for the kill when a gigantic beast appears out of nowhere, snatching up the wolf in its jaws and sucking the life out of it.

Plot: The plot is pretty freaking serious and when I thought it got axed, it stopped getting published for a while, I was super upset. It turns out it wasn’t axed, but I haven’t read past the 16th chapter or so. I’ll remedy that, but I’ll be honest and say that it’ll really have to be extraordinary for me to start reading it again.

Characters: Itsuki is a typical male lead and was pretty boring for me, Wakana the female lead actually was my favorite character. Hayato was a pretty great character as well. The rest of the cast was okay, but nothing spectacular.

Art: The art on the other hand is great, lots of detail in every panel.

Overall: If the rest of the chapters are like the first 16, it’ll be an disappointment. Otherwise it could be a great series.

For those who like: Action, Drama, Violence, Great Female Leads, Decent Plot.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
