Digital Development Appoints Paula Cuneo As Director

Digital Development Management (DDM), the world’s leading business and talent agency for video games and digital entertainment, has named veteran video game and interactive entertainment executive Paula Cuneo as Brand Director. Cuneo, who joins DDM after a successful career working in the video game sector for companies such as Microsoft and Activision, starts immediately. Firemint Acquires Infinite Interactive

Games studio Firemint today announced that it has acquired fellow Australian studio, Infinite Interactive. The move further boosts Firemint’s strength in designing and developing original games, while providing the Infinite Interactive team with a channel for independent publishing. Firemint was founded by Rob Murray in 1999. It became a highly regarded work-for-hire mobile games studio before shooting to fame with iPhone hits "Flight Control" and "Real Racing" in 2009. Nintendo Issues Global 3D Games Warning

Gaming in three dimensions may be the latest craze, but Nintendo today issued a warning that repeatedly playing games in 3D can cause permanent eye damage in small children. "For children under the age of six, looking at 3D images for a long time could possibly have a negative impact on the growth of their eyes," Nintendo said on its website. The company recommends that children "take breaks every 30 minutes when playing games in 3-D and stop playing immediately if they feel ill."
