Hey all I’m back with another review for the wonderful people at Audible. It’s We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis E. Taylor!

Plot Synopsis: Bob Johansson has just sold his software company and is looking forward to a life of leisure. There are places to go, books to read, and movies to watch. So, it’s a little unfair when he gets himself killed crossing the street. Bob wakes up a century later to find that corpsicles have been declared to be without rights, and he is now the property of the state. He has been uploaded into computer hardware and now must pass a test to continue existing.

Plot: The plot is excellent full of fun references to pop culture, from Star Trek to The Simpsons. That isn’t all of course, there are plenty of tense moments in the book, and while I won’t spoil the story it was quite gripping.

Characters: Bob is a pretty interesting main character, who has really gotten the short stick in life, but doesn’t fall into despair. The rest of the cast is quite excellent as well, but I’ll leave the names for you to find out. That being said, I found most characters quite fun, and I’m looking forward to learning more about them all in future books.

Voicework: Ray Porter, whom some of you may remember did the Drake Ramsey series as well, is just as excellent in this book as he was in past books. Frankly the way he conveys all the varying characters is quite extraordinary especially with what and who the cast is.

Overall: If you are expecting a gripping Epic with Romance, you will probably be disappointed. But if you are looking for a Space Opera mixed with just enough Comedy you’ve found yourself a great audiobook.

For those who like: Sci-Fi, Space Operas, Comedy, Excellent Plot, Fantastic Cast of Characters, Amazing Voicework.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, but you should really give the series a chance.
