This week our Time Waster is a puzzle game for Android devices called Stellar Fox that uses lines and physics to challenge players. It’s a beautiful game, but perhaps a bit too easy for clever Time Wasters to fully enjoy?
Occultus: Mediterranean Cabal is not your typical hidden object title. Instead, it puts the emphasis solidly on story and plot, which, depending on your tastes, might be good or bad.
RiME’s incredibly gorgeous world is the setting for a story about childhood innocence and life and death. A puzzle adventure with more than enough to set it apart from its influences. Whilst easy puzzles and control flaws detract, Rime’s charm and story makes it a worthwhile journey.
The Adam Wolfe game is on a mission to redefine the hidden object genre by adding a great story, interesting animation, action sequences and an episodically delivered plot that will actually have you anxiously awaiting the next episode. For the most part, it succeeds.
Lemuria: Lost in Space finds players in the role of an android space detective, trying to determine what happened to a ship that disappeared 70 years ago. Your investigations take place in a glorious throwback point and click adventure.
Shift Happens is a quirky and enjoyable puzzle platformer about two creatures made of jelly escaping from their lab and setting off on a grand adventure. Simple but fun, with a little bit of humor mixed in, it might just jiggle its way into your heart.
For those who appreciate puzzle games, Semispheres is one of the most innovative we’ve seen in a while. It’s calm and serene on the surface, but it’s challenges are downright diabolical once you get behind that pretty facade.
