Risen is a new RPG that was released without a lot of fanfare. But with a purely open world and unique character leveling, could it be an Oblivion killer?
The Mothership Zeta DLC for Fallout 3 takes the series in a new direction, and is more than worth the price of admission. For something completely different, try heading out into space.
Fallout 3 meets Deliverance with the arrival of the Point Lookout DLC. Completely changing the flavor of the DC wasteland, Point Lookout offers open-ended redneck-killing fun.
Although Sacred 2: Fallen Angel does not have too much of a story for an RPG, it does offer a ton of great combat and fierce special effects, if you like that sort of thing.
Hinterland: Orc Lords is a casual RPG that can be played by literally anyone. Although pretty fun at first, it might be a little too simple for the long term.
The Broken Steel DLC really completes Fallout 3, in the way it should have ended in the first place. And it does it with epic style, making it an essential add-on.
Although the Operation Anchorage DLC was a bit of a disappointment for Fallout 3 fans, The Pitt more than makes up for it, adding a brutal post-nuclear Pittsburgh to the Wasteland.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope might have been Square’s last chance to impress our 360 reviewer. Thankfully, they met that challenge and exceeded it. This is a great Star Ocean.
Star Ocean: Second Evolution hits the ground running as a top title for the PSP platform. It takes us back to the original series, but adds a lot of new elements, like real-time combat.
