Shadowgun is probably the most visually impressive shooter for the iPad, and has an innovative control scheme. Not all the kinks are completely worked out, but Shadowgun sure is fun.
One of the few horror adventure games for the iPad, The Dark Meadow is sufficiently creepy to put a chill up your spine as you experience its great story.
Rage mixes a shooter and a racer to create an exciting game that will really shake up the current crop of post-apocalyptic fighting games. With a bit of humor and a deep story, Rage is not to be missed.
Gears of War 3 ends this excellent series not with a bang, but with a whole series of nuclear-sized holy cow moments, all while looking amazing and playing great. Gear heads unite!
Come to Dead Island’s beautiful resort getaway where the only flaw is that it’s infested with undead. Zombie hunters will want to check-in to this impressive open-world paradise/nightmare.
Hot woman, high powered guns, fast cars and plenty of destructive force make up Wasteland Angel. Unfortunately, quite a few annoying bugs also come to play in this carmageddon.
Finally, a game comes out that takes full advantage of the Xbox 360 Kinect. The Gunstringer challenges you to control an undead puppet looking for revenge in front of a live studio audience.
F.E.A.R. 3 hits the ground running, and while it’s not nearly as frightening as the first game, it does introduce some really nice elements to enhance the combat side of the equation.
Brink is a shooter that adds some neat Parkour elements to the mix, but otherwise plays like a lot of other games with heavy multiplayer elements.
