Immortal: Unchained is a clone of the Souls series, with the one real differentiator being a reliance on guns over melee weapons. This could have set up some interesting gameplay, but sadly, it will likely fall a little short of expectations.
The Far Cry 5: Dead Living Zombies DLC adds seven short zombie themed scenarios to Far Cry 5. But the lack of any open-world fun, and almost no connection to the core game or gameplay, means that this one is likely DOA for many fans.
If you were hoping that Destiny 2: Forsaken could rekindle some of the amazing glory of the original game, then you are in luck. Almost everything about Forsaken is done right, and that includes the new Gambit gameplay mode, which is insanely fun to play.
The Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars DLC does a lot of cool things, like reducing gravity to support monster jumps, and introducing laser type weapons to help you thwart an alien invasion. Unfortunately, the gameplay doesn’t quite live up to its other set pieces.
Although it doesn’t offer much beyond the ability to peek under the skirts of a few schoolgirls, the Gal Gun series has earned a cult following. Gal Gun 2 won’t do much to change that, but does provide a bit more campy fun.
Anyone who purchased the season pass for Far Cry 5 got a Vietnam, a zombie and a Mars themed level as part of that package. Vietnam was the first out of the gate, and offers a bit more strategy and stealth over the core game.
Destiny 2 continues to expand with Warmind DLC, giving players access to new areas, new enemies, exotic weapons, a unique new raid, and several hours of new single-player content. For those who love this sci-fi shooter, its just more icing on the cake, though it doesn’t actually change the core game in any significant ways.
