Ubisoft to show titles at Game Market Europe Show

Games Market Europe has today revealed that Ubisoft will be showcasing its eagerly-awaited Peter Jackson’s King Kong at next week’s European trade event at the Business Design Centre in London.

Games Market Europe, which runs on August 31st and September 1st, is the only UK trade show for the computer and video games business, and Ubisoft will pack out stands D52, D54 and D62 with a selection of its pre-Christmas line-up.

The result of an unparalleled collaboration between Ubisoft’s Montpellier studio and triple Academy Award-winning director Peter Jackson with visual-effects company Weta Ltd., Peter Jackson’s King Kong is set for a 2005 Holiday season release on all platforms. Inspired by the Universal Pictures’ December 14th, 2005 release of "King Kong", the game captures all the imagination, vision and emotion of the epic film.

Visitors can also expect royal treatment at the Ubisoft stand with the chance to see the final instalment in the hugely successful Prince of Persia series: Prince of Persia 3 (working title). The third Prince of Persia game promises a masterful blend of gameplay with the new ‘Speed Kill’ system and the option to play as the Dark Prince combined with a twisting tale of adrenalin, suspense and discovery, giving players a climactic close to the Sands Trilogy.

Ubisoft will also be offering a playable version of Far Cry Instincts and hot new trailers of the highly anticipated Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

"Over recent years, Ubisoft has become renowned for producing games with real flair and artistic merit, and this year’s line-up is no exception," says Andy Lane, event director, Games Market Europe. "Games Market Europe visitors will be clamouring to see how these highly-anticipated titles are shaping up, and we’re delighted Ubisoft has chosen the event to showcase the very best of its Christmas line-up."

"This year Ubisoft has one of the biggest and strongest product line-ups in its history. We are very excited to be able to show our key third quarter releases to the trade at Games Market Europe," adds Jon Rosenblatt, UK marketing director at Ubisoft.
