ELSPA Hires ClearImage for PR

ELSPA (The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association) has selected ClearImage to support and build awareness for its European Games Network (EGN) to be held at ExCel in London, September 1-3, 2004. ClearImage will promote the event to the North American interactive entertainment and technology industries, including technology companies, video game publishers, developers and consumers, the media, and trade associations through comprehensive communications and business development programs.

ELSPA, established as the specific and collective identity for the British computer and video games industry, chose ClearImage because of its proven track record for increasing the profile of European organizations within the North American gaming industry. ClearImage is a full-service marketing, public relations and business development firm located in Raleigh, N.C. The company delivers high-impact programs that generate press, increase sales and build brands.

"We partnered with ClearImage because they are well positioned to develop strategies and implement programs that will build awareness for EGN within the North American interactive entertainment and gaming community," said Roger Bennett, director general of ELSPA. "ClearImage will use their expertise and contacts to promote how EGN has become an international venue for sharing ideas, learning about new tools and technologies and seeing the latest in cutting-edge video game development."

EGN (www.europeangamesnetwork.co.uk) will be held during the same time period as ECTS and has been structured to maximize the effectiveness of hosting an international gaming event in Europe. EGN offers a high-level networking opportunity for industry leaders to discuss future trends and effective strategies. In conjunction with Game Stars Live and The European Developers’ Forum, EGN will provide exhibitors and attendees an opportunity to experience business-to-business, consumer and developer events simultaneously in one facility.

"We have packaged EGN’s comprehensive educational programs, seminars and technology demonstrations with Game Star Live’s multi-format consumer games expo to give technology companies, game developers and publishers as well as video game consumers a single source for demonstrating and fueling the growth of the interactive entertainment industry internationally," added Bennett.
