This week for Anime Sunday I’m covering a series I hadn’t been paying attention to prior to watching the first episode. It’s Utawarerumono False Faces Episode 01 Impressions!

Plot Synopsis: Waking up in a mountain deep in snow. Neither the past nor a name can be remembered, the world wasn’t kind with the man who wanders in such condition. A creature which possess a large fang started to attack, coming out from the darkness and cornered the man.

Plot: The plot is pretty good, with enough mystery to make me very curious about where the series is going.

Characters: Haku and Kuon make an excellent pair of leads, although they are the only ones we get to meet in this episode. I’m excited to see the rest of the cast as well.

Art: The art is awesome, not ufotable quality but it’s pretty good.

Music: The music is great, I love the opening and ending themes in particular. Both are performed by Suara and it fits the series perfectly.

Overall: This is an interesting series, with what looks to be plenty of potential.

For those who like: Mysteries, Amnesiac Main Characters, Action, Drama, Good Plot, Excellent Art, Fantastic Musical Score.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
