Synthesis Localization Company Founds German Office

Established over 17 years ago, Synthesis Global Solutions has grown into one of the leading videogame localization specialists in the world. Synthesis has quietly built up a prized reputation for high quality, reliability and flexibility directly with leading publishers throughout the industry and has been responsible for the localization of recent global smash hit games including The Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim, Id Software’s Rage and Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 3.

With offices and proprietary recording studios in the US, Italy, Spain, Japan and now Germany, Synthesis Global Solutions can now provide developers and publishers with a truly global localization service.

Synthesis Global Solutions and Periscope Studio were partners for two years before this joint venture. Working together on the German localization for the recent Skyrim and Rage projects as part of Synthesis Global Solutions complete FIGS localization approach, their working methodologies, practices and quality controls were aligned with the whole Synthesis Group, and this ultimately enabled the launch of Synthesis Germany to be a trouble-free transition, with no interruptions or delays to their clients’ projects.

Synthesis Germany will entirely take over all of Periscope’s translation, casting and audio recording talent and infrastructure, enabling the new company to provide localization services immediately. Nevertheless Periscope Studio will remain and consolidate its game-audio agency approach focussing on videogame music scores as well as the development of their psai interactive audio middleware.

Max Reynaud, Managing Director and Founder of Synthesis Global Solutions said, "Our reputation is our most important asset so we don’t enter into joint ventures lightly. But working with Periscope, experiencing their approach and the fantastic quality of their work, that decision was very easy to make. The Synthesis Germany joint venture adds essential local experience for us in a rapidly growing and evolving German games market and we’re exceptionally proud to bring Synthesis Germany to our global service."

Carolin Schwarz, Managing Director of Synthesis Germany said, "We’re all very excited to be part of Synthesis and have the opportunity to help build on their successes in the German market. In turn, we are now part of a company group of global reach and resource where in turn we can add greater value to our existing clients – it’s the perfect ‘win-win’ arrangement."
