3 Doors Down Playing On PopStar Guitar

Videogame publisher XS Games and 3 Doors Down have teamed up for PopStar Guitar, the all-new music-rhythm video game for pop music fans. In addition to being featured in the pop-based music game, 3 Doors Down is celebrating the recent release of their self-titled album, in stores now.

3 Doors Down have entertained fans for years as the quintessential rock band, attaining enormous mainstream success in 2000 with the release of "Kryptonite". Throughout the years, 3 Doors Down have expanded their loyal fan base with catchy choruses and solid songwriting, resulting in over 15 million in album sales worldwide.

"We are a huge fan of music-rhythm games and love having PopStar Guitar on tour with us!" said Matt Roberts, guitarist of 3 Doors Down.

With the release of PopStar Guitar, devoted fans can perform their own live versions of their favorite chart topping hits like "When I'm Gone", and "It's Not My Time". Fans can also experience the new sounds of 3 Doors Down with their recently released, self-titled album, available now. 3 Doors Down fans can also catch the band on tour nationwide as they continue to promote their new album.

"We are excited to work with 3 Doors Down and give their fans the chance to not only listen to their favorite tracks, but play along with them in PopStar Guitar," said Steve Grossman, chief executive officer of XS Games. "We feel this offers their fans a chance to connect with the band on a whole new level."

In PopStar Guitar, players compete as the lead guitarist, forming their own band, to eventually perform on the main stage in a worldwide "Battle of the Bands" competition. The game features three difficulty levels, twelve playable characters and 25 visually stunning venues. In addition to 3 Doors Down, PopStar Guitar includes original licensed music from Fall Out Boy, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna and many more.

PopStar Guitar is now available for the Wii and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. The Wii version of PopStar Guitar features the AirG peripheral, which snaps onto the Wii Remote, turning your average controller into a one-of-a-kind air guitar for $59.99. For PlayStation 2 system players, PopStar Guitar will function with any 5 button PlayStation 2 system compatible guitar and will be available for $29.99 on November 18th at retail stores nationwide, and is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB.
