PITTSBURGH STEELERS ATTEND GAME BENEFIT PARTY

  Posted: 11/23/2009

Apparently one of the favorite pastimes of NFL players on the Pittsburgh Steelers football team is playing video games. So when Max Starks and his wife, Dr. Tiffany Calloway-Starks, hosted Gridiron Gaming at UPMC Mercy to benefit the UMPC Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, some of his teammates happily attended, signing autographs and then playing Nintendo Wii video games with those in attendance.

The center treats people with serious injuries, including several football players that needed physical therapy over the years. The Wii console is great for that because of all the motion required to play certain games.

Proceeds from the night went to help the facility, but Steelers players said they were happy that they could make a difference by playing games, which many of them love to do anyway.
