This week on Shoujo Saturday I’m covering a series I really enjoyed. It’s Kuzu no Honkai, or Scum’s Wish in English, by Yokoyari Mengo!

Plot Synopsis: 17-year-old Awaya Mugi and Yasuraoka Hanabi appear to be the ideal couple. They are both pretty popular, and they seem to suit each other well. However, outsiders don’t know of the secret they share.

Plot: The plot is quite good, and it’s easily one of the better romance series I’ve read. I’d list it up there with Domestic na Kanojo, in terms of quality.

Characters: Mugi and Hanabi are excellent leads, and their secret is easily one of the better plot hooks I’ve read in a romance series. I won’t spoil it, but it’s quite good.

Art: The art is very good, and suits the series perfectly.

Overall: If you want a good romance series, this is one of the better ones I can recommend.

For those who like: Slice of Life, Romance, Drama, Great Plot, Excellent Characters, Fantastic Artwork.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
