Hey all I’m back with the first book in a series I came across rather recently for this week’s Bookish Wednesday! It’s Kitty and the Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn!

Plot Synopsis: Kitty Norville is a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station and a werewolf in the closet. But something odd happens when one of her callers asks her about the supernatural.

Plot: The plot is actually really good, to the point that I couldn’t stop listening to the book once I started, thankfully I started in the morning and as it’s a rather short book, for me at least, it ended a bit before dinner time. So I’m already really hooked into this series, I’m hoping the later entries continue to be as entertaining and refreshing.

Characters: We get introduced to Kitty, yea that’s a hilarious name for a werewolf it’s apparently a running gag in the series, and a few other people for this entry. Hopefully we get to see more of them as time goes on, TJ and Cormac are definitely ones I’d enjoy listening to in the future. Cormac is probably my favorite side character of the bunch.

Overall: I’m already hooked, hopefully the later books don’t give me a reason to drop the series. However this is definitely a must read for any Urban Fantasy lovers.

For those who like: Urban Fantasy, Action, Humor, Smart Female Leads, Awesome Casts of Characters, Excellent Plots.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
