I’m back and for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday I’m covering the first volume in a series I came across a while back. It’s Maken no Daydreamer Volume 01 by Nishi Oshyou!

Plot Synopsis: Minato is a college student who died in a plane crash and was reincarnated in a fantasy world. He was raised alone in the wilderness by his succubus mother, and now he tries to make his way as an adventurer.

Plot: The plot is pretty interesting, although I have to admit I wasn’t super impressed with it. That being said I did enjoy it and that’s more than some novels have done for me. It’s nothing super serious, but it’s also not meant for kids as there is some explicit content.

Characters: Minato is pretty funny, and his mother is hilarious to the point I was almost crying from laughing so hard. This first volume is light on characters, but I’m sure we’ll meet more in the next volume.

Art: The art looks pretty good, but nothing is as good as No Game No Life.

Overall: If you like reincarnation stories this is for you.

For those who like: Reincarnation, Fantasy, Light Novels, Action, Drama, Romance?, Funny Cast of Characters, Excellent Plot.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
